Company History

1967 Establishment of the company in London, with an office in Tokyo, as a land operator for Japanese travelers in Europe
1972 The Tokyo office becomes Miki Tourist Company Limited Tokyo branch
1967-1975 Starting with Paris and Rome, setting up of a network of 15 offices throughout Europe
1974 Launch of Miki’s office computerization project
1976 Opening of Osaka office
1977 Launch of DTOS (Direct Tour Operation System) linking message and data transfer services between European offices and Japanese offices
Opening of office in Fukuoka
1983 Launch of OSCAR (Operation, Sales, Communication, Account, Rationalization) proprietary computer system project, to integrate all of Miki’s operations
1987 Celebration of Miki’s 20th anniversary
Appointment as GSA in Japan for ITALIATOUR SpA
1988 Incorporation of Miki’s Tokyo Branch as a Japanese company, MIKI TOURIST K.K.
Completion of OSCAR system
1988-1994 Opening of 9 additional branch offices in Europe (24 offices in total)
